WoW AddOn Spotlight: Threat Plates

This week’s AddOn spotlight covers Threat Plates. Threat Plates is an extension of Tidy Plates. It provides extensive nameplate configuration options for DPS and Tank roles relative to threat management. Overall, I enjoyed these nameplates so much that I will most likely keep them active over the default Tidy Plates layout.

Note that the current state of the AddOn requires Tidy Plates *beta*. You can get that here.

The video opens up with me on my 74 Rogue. The tank pulled a few too many and i’m immediately faced with a potential high threat situation. You can see my health drop quickly, aggro move to me, and then move away as the tank pulls it back. Most important thing to notice is the color of the nameplates. When you are DPS’ing using Threat Plates, they turn red when you pull aggro and green when you are safe. For tank classes, the colors are reversed.

I take you through most of the configuration options, there are a ton of them.
